What do you do when you can’t finish the tasks on your list before the end of the day?

I will often move the task to the next day. If it keeps moving to the following day I may be procrastinating for some reason. At that point I need to take a hard look at that task and either prioritize it, or delete it all together.

I need this to be so simple. And struggle to now what to include and what to leave out. Too basic and they seem pointless. I’m having a hard time writing my to do lists. I think I put too many things down for a day but at the same time they’re nothing significant, like go to work, talk to my bf, complete my morning routine etc. I’m also having a hard time setting a time to write the list. One night I wrote it down after dinner. The next night I forgot and wrote it in the morning very quickly before leaving for work. I need advice please!!!
